To run your best you need to stay motivated and it’s hard to stay motivated when you’re constantly trying to fit your earbud back in to your ear. And it seems like when you go to buy headphones you have to choose between great sound (the bass on a lot of earbuds is hard to hear) or durability as many of the top quality headphones aren’t built for running. Adidas CX 680 Sports Earcanal Headphones
The Adidas CX680 headphones got it right, but what else would you expect from Adidas? These earbud style headphones are perfect for running because they differ from traditional headphones in two ways. The first and most significant way is that they come with what’s considered and “Earfin” holding system which are adjustable “fins” that fit in the ear and keep the earbud from falling out. The headphones come with three sets of fins as well as three sets of foam earbuds and with the right combination you can create a perfect fit that will never fall out and block out a lot of the ambient noise so you can really hear your tunes. The other thing that separates the Adidas CX680 from other running headphones is that they are both sweat and water resistant. So no matter how much you sweat, the headphones stay put and stay playing. Manufactured by Sennheiser, these headphones have the sound quality you’d expect. Everybody likes their music a little different, and the manual can help you adjust the EQ so that you get just the right mix. In addition to their great performance, they are extremely durable as well. They’re made with a Kevlar reinforced cable (yeah, I know) that can handle not only the abuse from running but also the twisting and tearing from throwing it in your gym bag or backpack. And they keep performing. Many people have reported using these headphones for years and if you’ve ever consistently ran with any headphones, you’d know that’s a long time. It comes with a short cable that’s designed for armband use, or there’s an extension cord that has a volume control that can take it to a normal length. It comes with a 2 year warranty that it’s bound to outlast. The Adidas CX680 sport earcanal headphones are definitely at the top of the list.Adidas PMX 680 Sports Earbud Headphones
Some people don’t like to have the free floating earbuds that are difficult to get into your ear and end up making the back of your ear sore. For those that prefer earbuds with a neckband by far your best bet is the Adidas PMX 680 headphones. Very similar to the CX680, these headphones have a neckband that snugly yet comfortably fits around the back of your head to keep the earbuds in place. It has a small cord which is great for connecting to an armband and you don’t have to worry about the cord flopping around when you run. There’s also an extension cord with a volume control for on the fly volume adjustments. The PMX 680 is also made by Sennheiser, so you get many of the same music features as the CX680. The sound quality has better than average bass and crisp highs and if you’re using the stock apple headphones you’ll be blown away. What makes these running headphones nice is that they have great music performance but are rugged and can withstand all the sweat, pounding, wrenching and whatnot you throw at it. These headphones are designed with running in mind and for a couple of bucks you’ll have a set of headphones that will keep you focused for years to come.Koss SportaPro Stereo Headphones
And then there’s people who, no matter what, just don’t like having earbuds protrude into their ear. Whether it’s comfort or safety, some people prefer to have the comfort a pair of stereo headphones. When it comes to these sorts of headphones that perform the best for running, the Koss SportaPro headphones are highly recommended. These headphones while not being very expensive, perform pretty well. They have an adjustable design so that they can be worn over the head or behind the back, making them quite comfortable. Their 15 to 25K frequency range means that they have ridiculous bass and they only weigh around 2 ounces so you don’t even know they’re there. If you don’t mind a little ambient noise while you run, these headphones will give you some bang for your buck.Beats Tour Earphones
And for those who absolutely have to have the best quality sound while they’re running, the best headphones (or in this case earphones) with the best sound are the Beats tour headphones. These headphones have exploded in popularity in part because of the Dr. Dre branding, but also because they have been optimized to provide the best in sound with the ultra-fast response on the drivers and new magnetic technology that allows them to get lower and deeper bass than normal high performance headphones. The earbud style also blocks out ambient noise helping to produce the best sound quality earphones can provide. Now, I included the Beats earphones because I believe that they are the earphones with the best sound ever but this comes with a price. The Beats Tour Earphones are well over a hundred dollars so you’re going to be dropping some serious cash, but if you’ve got money to blow and want the best quality sound quality while you’re working out, these are your headphones. No related posts.
