If you have a big or small head then finding a good pair of regular sunglasses can be a pain. It always seems like nothing ever fits and the ones that do, just aren’t that great. Now you can have something comfortable that works well too (plus you won’t look ridiculous).
Sunglasses for Small Heads
Smith Toaster Slider
The Smith’s Toaster Slider sunglasses make a great pair of all around running glasses, and they just happen to have a slim design for smaller faces. They feature a special material called Megol that has extra traction in the right places – the nosepiece and temple pads. This material helps to keep the glasses from sliding while exercising even while wet and sweaty. The Slider lens system allows you to slide the lens out and slide a new pair in with relative ease. This makes them great for prescription running sunglasses as well. The lens technology provides 99.9% glare reduction which is valuable on those hot days when you’re running down a straight road. It also helps to prevent eye fatigue and headaches. These are a solid all around pair of sunglasses for a smaller than average head. Oakley Minute
Trying to appeal to all demographics, Oakley designed the Minute sunglasses with a smaller frame for smaller to medium faces. Using their proprietary O Matter material, the frames are very durable yet lightweight, providing a snug but comfortable fit. They also emphasize their three point fit which minimizes head contact but provides the needed support with their specialized rubber material. The lenses on the Oakley Minute sunglasses utilize “High Definition Optics” which is a fancy way of saying that it cuts down on glare and increases contrasts for better viewing. The lenses also have a coating that has been specially designed to repel water, sweat and oils leaving a smudge free viewing area. If you like the Oakley brand and the quality of their sunglasses and don’t mind paying for a good pair of running sunglasses, then the Oakley Minute sunglasses will be just right for you and your small face. Sunglasses for Big Heads
Bolle Vigilante
These running sunglasses are a little bit larger but equally weightless as other running sunglasses. Used by many for competition shooting, these Italian sunglasses have a large frame with vented window design. Ideal for people with larger heads, they also have the option to get prescription inserts so if you have to have prescription glasses when you run, these are a great choice. As with the other sunglasses for running, these are completely UVA and UVB protective. The lenses are interchangeable which is great for different lighting conditions (suddenly gets sunny or decide to break off into the woods). They have a “Thermogrip” materials on the nosepads and temples to prevent the sunglasses from slipping, even when it gets hot. The only problem reported was that some people had difficulty popping out the lens and many feared they would break them. Click Here to learn more about Bolle Performance Vigilante Sunglasses
