Prescription Running Sunglasses

There are a ton of different running sunglasses out there but it always seems like none of them can accommodate a prescription. Putting contacts in just to go for a run is a real pain and sometimes even contacts can’t cut it. If you need a pair of running sunglasses that can take a prescription, you’ll want to check out the sunglasses below. It should be noted that these are regular sunglasses that have the ability to be customized. Usually this is done through a third party or sometimes you can just send the prescription in and the company will do it for you.

Adidas Supernova

At first glance you wouldn’t think that the Adidas Supernova sunglasses could take a prescription. With the single large wrap around lens, I have no idea how they would do it. But these shades are prescription ready and they’re a damn good pair of sunglasses too. To start off they are very lightweight and the visibility couldn’t be better. The single lens leaves a completely unrestricted view and the visibility is enhanced with sharper contrasts. The curvature of the lens helps to improve peripheral visibility but also provides protection from wind, rain and the like. The lens also has an anti-fogging coating that prevents any fogging caused by humidity or your sweaty body. Click Here to learn more about the Adidas Supernova Sport Sunglasses

The Smith Optics Toaster Slider glasses have removable lenses that make swapping in a prescription set possible. The downside is that you have to contact a third party to have them make the lenses for you. Other than that, the Toaster Sliders are a stylish pair of sunglasses that can be worn everyday in addition to running. They feature special Megol nose and temple pads which keep the sunglasses from slipping even under sweaty conditions. The lens swapping technology is extremely easy and once you’ve got the technique down it only takes a few seconds. The sunglasses reduce glare by 99.9% which helps to prevent eye fatigue, especially when road running. Click Here to learn more about Smith Optics Toaster Slider Sunglasses

The Adidas Gazelle sunglasses are extremely versatile, being featured in both the best sports sunglasses review as well as the best sunglasses for trail running. They feature the similar lens swapping technology that allows you to purchase a set of prescription lenses which pop in. The glasses themselves are packed with Adidas’ sports technology including the Traction Grip temples and double snap nose bridge that enable you to adjust the glasses to get the best custom fit. They also incorporate Flex Zones which help the sunglasses flex and more or less mold to your head creating a pressureless fit. They also have a 3-level height adjustment on the frames so that you can adjust the glasses to your face and the quick release hinge makes them flexible as well as durable.
